Available in ratings capacity of 700VA-12V,900VA-12V & 1500VA-24V; the Sine wave Range of Home UPS is a value-for-money device providing rugged, reliable, customer friendly & feature full solution to the consumers. The Sine Wave range delivers complete battery charging solution while helping in saving energy while charging which is an industry first feature, unmatched by any other competitive UPS in the market.

The Sine Wave range of Home UPS solutions not only has an innovative charging solution but also comprises of many revolutionary features which makes the system efficiently reliable & customer friendly. Some of the key features of the Milestone UPS Range are:

Input Voltage Range

Ø  Wide input AC window 80V~300V suits urban as well as rural conditions (INV MODE)

Precise & Accurate I/P voltage management at UPS mode for computer type of load as peak based design which is 180V~265V

Ø  Other makes: Others have input AC window of  120V~290V which is not recommended for rural areas where low voltage is a common problem

Temperature Range

Ø  TEMPRATURE GUARD: Temperature sensor at the heat sink & fan is used to control the internal temperature, if the temperature increases beyond the permissible limit of the system the system will shutdown & audio/visual indication will be there. The audio indication can be set off by just pressing the on/off switch once i.e. mute option. As the system temperature reduces to the designed limit the system will automatically recover from the fault conditions & starts working normally. This will protect the system from any type of malfunctioning due to any type of temperature rise & the system will not fails even in worst ambient condition or in case of fan failure.

Ø  Other makes: Temperature sensor is present to measure only the ambient temperature with fan here the actual temperature of the devices is not being measured. So the main purpose is being defeated. Also the system not automatically recovers as the temperature reduces which is not customer friendly.

Changeover Technique

Ø  High frequency technique is used in changeover to avoid computer rebooting.

Ø  Other makes: Simple changeover technique is used.

Charging Start Voltage

Ø   It charges the battery to as low as 80V & as high as 300V AC mains. It achieves full charging current of as low as 120V of the mains suitable for urban as well as rural conditions

Ø  Other makes: Charging current starts reducing from below 150V AC

Noiseless Performance

Ø   Noiseless hassle free performance during mains mode as well as backup mode as high frequency switching of the power devices is present. Noise level of <45db at one meter is achieved

Ø  Other makes : Irritating humming sound (buzz) during mains mode as well as backup mode which is not acceptable, as switching frequency is low in both the modes

Phase Reversal Protection

Ø   AC BACK FEED PROTECTION with audio/visual indication & system shutdown. This protects the system against any wiring faults.

Ø  Other makes:  This protection is very important as it may damage the devices. Some makes have only peak current limit but there is no system shutdown which may damage the devices. Some makes protection is available but system starts delivering current to the battery beyond 220v which is not recommended

Deep Discharge Protection

Ø  Complete deep discharge protection available charges battery from as low as 3V

Ø  Other makes: No comparison feature not available.

Multi Stage Peak Current Protection

Ø  Multi stage peak current protection available during the short circuit to increase the reliability of the system.

Ø  Other makes: Peak current protection is not available in the system which may lead to failure of the system

Low Battery Lock

Ø  In case of low battery shutdown we have provided 3 manual resets for the customer after the shutdown occurs. After 3 resets the system shuts down completely and cannot be reset without AC mains resumption. This condition saves the battery to go into deep discharge

Ø  L make: Present

No Load Shutdown

Ø  GREEN MODE Shutdowns the system if running at no load for more than 10hours.

Ø  Other makes: No comparison feature not available.

Input Sense Topology

Ø  Sense xmer based, high cut & low cut in both the modes are precise irrespective of the temperature

Ø  Other makes: Opto-coupler based, high cut & low cut in both the modes are not precise even there is a delay in cut & recovery as in opto-coupler based design high cut & low cut shift with variation in ambient temperature which is not acceptable as the system is going to run sophisticated equipments like computer

Easy to Service

Ø  Easy to service & can be serviced by authorized dealer/distributor to reduce the lead time of the service as DIP components are used which is easily available in the market even in remote areas.

Ø  Other makes: Some makes used SMD components which are hard to service at customer end andalso not easily available in the local market.
